Poor Man’s Recession Survival Center
Releases New ‘How to Regain Freedom’ E-book
If, like Rip Van Winkle, you’ve been asleep for the past 30-years and suddenly awakened, you would find a far different America than you what you remember. Our Bill of Rights is being subverted by lawmakers and judges. Asset seizure laws can now grab your property, even if you haven’t been charged with a crime. No-knock warrants have resulted in the deaths of innocent victims, financial privacy has vanished, gun ownership rights have been seriously challenged, and more.
Virtually every government administration lies about economic statistics. For example, government stats show average unemployment figures at less than 10% but in reality (due to their faulty accounting methods) it’s probably closer to 20%. Personal bankruptcies are growing and soon, commercial real estate will take a major hit. Private Property rights have been one of the key elements to the success of this country. Are we doomed to becoming serfs or ‘tenant farmers’ on our property?
The concise, resource-rich, 27-page report, The Poor Man’s How to Regain Your Freedom, explores such problems and how to overcome the challenges to your personal freedom.
Additionally, the report tackles our creeping socialism and explores alternatives to our current political system, home schooling, unemployment and more. Given our government and Wall Street caused financial meltdown, the report offers thought provoking solutions. The report can be downloaded free at:

How Government & Wall Street
Screwed the Middle Class…
For far too long, Washington and Wall Street have ignored the plight of our shrinking middle class. This, despite the fact we foot the bill for an average of 70% of the economy and tax bill and without consumers, there is no economy. Still, the greedy CEOs of Wall Street lined their pockets at the expense of workers, off-shored jobs, reduced worker benefits, and paid little or no taxes.
Stupid tax policies have also hurt the middle class. The income tax was illegal and when it was finally shoved down our collective throat, we were promised that it would never affect anyone other than the top one percent of wage earners – so much for truth in government.
In actuality, the income tax was created on behalf of the Federal Reserve, a NON government agency made up of bankers who control the world economy and charge us for interest. We should eliminate that group and the government should go back to printing its own currency thereby eliminating the national debt.
The income tax also allowed the federal government to begin superseding state’s rights and to engineer social policy and special interest groups through various tax breaks and codes. The tax system changes every year to accommodate such groups and has become so massive, no one can fully understand it and each year we waste billions of hours tackling our annual filings….something is wrong with this picture.
Our tax system has allowed outrageous government growth, which strangles small business and absorbs capital which would otherwise fuel job creation. We have more government regulation than any other country and it dominates every aspect of our lives. On average, we pay 25% more for goods and services due to government rules. We’re also the only country, which does not have tort reform. Lawsuits have become an industry, which cost us all dearly, but Congress (most of them are lawyers) will never do anything to stop it.
Do you still think lawmakers represent you?
If you still operate under this fallacy, you’re sadly mistaken. Politicians are only beholden to their campaign contributors and special interest groups. Otherwise, we would have had a viable national energy plan in place by now; Wall Street wouldn’t have been able to ruin the economy with shady dealings, we’d have an immigration plan in place, we’d have tort reform, tax reform and so on.
The key is to stop voting these people into office. All politicians should be limited to two terms – period!
Our government was never meant to be a growth industry and it now dominates every element of our lives. This goes against EVERYTHING our founding fathers wrote!
Less is More!
Less government means more for business and consumers. Government spending and policies mean less money (in your paycheck) and fewer opportunities for small business growth, the means by which the majority of us are employed.
Less stuff in your life means less useless clutter. Have you ever looked at items in a Goodwill Store? Most of it is ‘made in China’ crap and serves no useful purpose. Less TV means more family time, less time on the cell phone means you improve your driving habits making it safer for the rest of us…get the picture?
"How did it happen? How did our national government grow from a servant with sharply limited powers into a master with virtually unlimited power?
In part, we were swindled. There are occasions when we have elevated men and political parties to power that promised to restore limited government and then proceeded, after their election, to expand the activities of government. But let us be honest with ourselves. Broken promises are not the major causes of our trouble. Kept promises are. All too often we have put men in office who have suggested spending a little more on this, a little more on that, who have proposed a new welfare program, who have thought of another variety of 'security.' We have taken the bait, preferring to put off to another day the recapture of freedom and the restoration of our constitutional system."
--U.S. Senator Barry Goldwater (1909-1998)

Workshops are currently being planned for the coming year in Michigan and NE Ohio.
It’s almost summer. The talented green thumbs among us will plant and eventually harvest the fruits of their labors.
Not so much for me. Oh, I have tried my hand at gardening several times. I planted tomatoes one year and I must admit they did well in my backyard. My tomato plants were loaded with lovely green orbs on their way to ripening. They whispered a promise of fresh tomatoes for salads, sauces, and the delectable BLT with its crispy bacony goodness. Then I noticed that my lovely green tomato orbs began disappearing.
It remained a mystery until one day while sitting on the deck chatting with a friend I noticed a green object up in one of our oaks. I turned to my friend and said, “You will think I am nuts, but is that an apple in my live oak tree?" After she stopped laughing, she volunteered that she thought it was a tennis ball. We were both wrong, it was one of my unripe tomatoes. Shortly after that, we observed a sneaky squirrel approaching my tomato plants. AHA!
I eventually solved the squirrel problem.
The following summer I tried again and actually started getting lovely ripe tomatoes. However, I was confounded by another problem. I kept finding half eaten tomatoes hanging from the plants. I had netting to keep the squirrels and birds off of them, so what was eating my tomatoes? One evening, I approached my plants and saw an undulating brown mass on one of my tomatoes. I couldn’t make out what it was and went to get a flashlight. Upon inspection, I discovered the tomato covered with very large palmetto bugs. The discovery that my lovely tomatoes were being ravaged by mutant cockroaches gave me the "willies." I admitted defeat and gave up on the idea of glorious fresh tomatoes until my friend took me to the downtown farmers market.
Wow, it was great! All of the goodness of all kinds of fresh produce and more! If you too seek the joys of fresh produce, but have less than stellar results growing them yourself, try looking around for local farmers markets. Here are some resources to get you on your way to wonderful fresh produce.
